416 Stainless Steel Composition

416 Stainless Steel Properties
416 SS is part of the 400 series, which contains 11-14% chromium and a small amount (1%) of sulfur or selenium. Chromium adds hardness to the metal, while sulfur improves machinability. This combination results in a metal with good corrosion resistance and welding characteristics.
